My name is Alexis and I am a certified dog trainer who has dedicated my life to helping the most challenging shelter dogs find homes. I live with my five dogs, two cats, tortoise and try to foster dogs in my free time. While I primarily use positive reinforcement based methods, I always aim to ensure I am treating each dog as an individual - what works for one dog might not work for another. I am passionate about helping people understand dog behavior so they can build meaningful connections with the dogs around them, whether that is their own pet or a shelter dog in need.
